Antique print, titled: 'In China.' - In China, Sail Barrow, ferry, toy merchant Graves in the country, wooden bridge, market, coffee shop, opium smokers, a city street.
Plate: 'Victorieuse Batalie der Hollanders.' (Victorious sea battle of the Dutch.) Six Portugese ships were beaten by the Dutch VOC ships before Makassar and its Royal Palace Samboupo, South-Sulawesi, Indonesia, in June 1660.
Plate 13 ; 'Afteeckeninge van de Scheep-strijd voor Bantam'. (Depiction of the sea battle before Bantam.) This plate shows war ships in battle before Bantam / Banten, Indonesia.
Print/scene: 'Makou, ville de la Chine.' (Macao / Macau, a Chinese city.) The scene illustrates the Portugese colony under attack by a Dutch fleet. Ships are shown in the harbor firing at the town, with a hillside fort in background responding. Extremely rare in this edition.
Plate: 'La ville de Dabul. - Reverence jounaliere des ministres d'Etat au Roi de Decan.' (The city of Dabul on the Malabar coast, India - Daily bows by the Ministers of State for the King of Deccan, India.) View on the left of a coastal scene with VOC merchants and ships. Extremely rare in this edition.
