Description: Antique print, untitled. This extremely rare plate is called 'Signet fur den Verlag Achinar' (Signet for the publisher Achinar). Lithograph in black/white on a burnished gold back ground. From: Judische Graphik Nathan Altmann, [Jewish Graphics, Nathan Altmann]. Berlin: "Petropolis", 1923. Only 250 copies were ever made and nobody knows how many still exist today.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Nathan Altmann' after an anonymous artist. Nathan Isaevich Altman (1889 - 1970) was a Jewish, Russian and Soviet avant-garde artist, Cubist painter, stage designer and book illustrator.
