Description: Antique world map titled 'Mappemonde en deux Hémispheres'. A decorative double-hemisphere world map, with a comparative diagram of mountain heights in the lower centre and tables of mountain heights. The map includes continental boundaries which are outlined in colour. Originates from 'Atlas Classique De La Geographie Ancienne (..)' by C.V. Monin.
Artists and Engravers: Charles V. Monin was a French cartographer and publisher. He was one of the first to apply the lithographic process to mapmaking.
