Two circular diagrams depicting the Ptolemaic and Copernican theories of the solar system are depicted at top and bottom between the hemispheres. The northern part of California is flat, based on Briggs model. A small piece of land Anian appears adjacent to a strait leading within striking distance of the west shores of Hudson's Bay. Australia is shown as partially mapped, reflecting the Dutch explorations of the 17th century.

Artists and Engravers: Daniel Stoopendaal (Dutch) was active in Amsterdam from 1685 to 1713. Both Daniel and Bastiaan Stoopendaal made maps for the so-called Keur Bibles (published from 1666-1756).
