Description: Antique print, titled: 'Joseph met zyn gantse Huys en Broederen, neffens Faroos knegten en Oudsten van Egipten, na Kanaan op-getrokken; maakt aldaar een Rouwklage van seven dagen over Jakob, en begraast hem in de Spelonke Machpela' - This plate shows Joseph with the Brothers from his father's great House, with the elders from Pharaoh's Egypt, went to Canaan; they Mourned for Seven days over Jacob, and buried him in the Cave of Machpela.
This old antique print originates from the 2-volume: 'Joodse Oudheden, ofte Voor-Bereidselen tot de Bybelsche Wysheid, en gebruik der heilige en kerkelijke historien: uit de Alder-Oudste Gedenkkenissen der Hebreen, Chaldeen, Babyloniers, Egiptenaars, Syriers, Grieken en Romeinen, ...', published by Wilhelmus Goeree, Amsterdam, 1690.
