Description: Antique print titled 'Aussischt von Ternate'. View of the island of Ternate with erupting volcano Gamalama and vessels in the foreground. Ternate was the seat of the Governor General until the foundation of Batavia in 1619. This print originates from 'Allgemeine Historie der Reisen zu Wasser und zu Lande; oder Sammlung aller Reisebeschreibungen' by J.J. Schwabe.
