Description: Antique print, titled: 'Pandore' - This handsome plate shows Pandore, from the second edition (Temple of Muses) of 'Collection originale des tableaux les plus interessants des Métamorphoses d'Ovide', publiés en 1655, par M. de Marolles. This print was printed in 1769 and published in Desnos (France). The plates were designed by Araham Diepenbek (a pupil of Paul Rubens) and were engraved by Bloemaert.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Abraham Bloemaert' after 'Abraham van Diepenbeeck'. Abraham Bloemaert (1566-1651) was a Dutch painter and etcher/engraver. He was one of the 'Haarlem Mannerists', but shifted towards a more Baroque style around 1600. Abraham van Diepenbeeck (1596-1675), Dutch, (glass) painter and draughtsman, Antwerp school.
