.. Coat of Arms Vier Kavelen - Van Moelingen (1755)

Description: Antique print, titled: 'De Vier Kavelen. 1. Geen den Boer. 2. Ary Pieterse. 3. Cornelis vander Geer. 4. Cornelis de Groet. En Secretaris en Penningmeester Pieter Smits, Schout en Secretaris van Berkenwoude en Agterbroek.'

The coats of arms of five families from the Krimpenerwaard (Geen den Boer, Ary Pieterse, Cornelis van der Geer, Cornelis de Groet, Pieter Smits), a region in the Netherlands. Large armorial border for a multi-sheet wall map. One of the coats of arms from the large wall map "Het Hooge Heemraadschap van de Crimpenre Waard" by David Coster. This map was originally published in 1683. In total, eight editions were made between 1683 and 1818. Given the presence of the name Van Moelingen, we estimate this to be the 6th edition of 1755.
