Description: Antique print, titled: 'Combat d'un Canot avec les naturels de Lagouembre - 213, Archipel de Tonga', European explorers in a canoe near shore are attacekd by a group of native warriors from Lagouembre. The Europeans fight off the attackers with their oars and rifles. This print originates from M.G.L. Domeny de Rienzi's 'Oceanie, ou Cinquieme Partie du Monde', published in 1836 by Firmin Didot of Paris.
