Description: Antique map titled 'Empire d'Alexandre'. Old map showing the empire of Alexander the Great. Alexander the Great was an ancient Macedonian ruler and one of history’s greatest military minds who, as King of Macedonia and Persia, established the largest empire the ancient world had ever seen. This map originates from 'Atlas Universel de Geographie Ancienne et Moderne' by Monin & Fremin.
Artists and Engravers: Charles V. Monin (active early to mid 19th C.) was a French cartographer and publisher. He was one of the first to apply the lithographic process to mapmaking.
