Description: Antique print titled 'Idumea, of thet Land der Philistynen'. Old map of Edom, an ancient kingdom in Transjordan located between Moab to the northeast, the Arabah to the west and the Arabian Desert to the south and east. Originates from the first Dutch editon of an interesting travel account of Northern Africa titled 'Reizen en Aanmerkingen door en over Barbaryen en het Ooste'.
