Description: Antique map titled ‘Tractus Rheni et Mosae totusq Vahalis (..)’. Two maps on one sheet. Above the Rhine, Waal and Maas Rivers near their entrance to the sea. Bottom shows the Rhine River before it splits into the Rhine and Waal Rivers. Forests are drawn as groups of individual trees. Fortified cities are shown with walls around them. Map title and mileage scales are surrounded by decorative designs. This map originates from ‚Theatrum Orbis Terrarum sive Atlas Novus / Volume II‘, published by Willem and Joan Blaeu from 1635-1655.

Artists and Engravers: Willem Janszoon (or Jansz.) Blaeu (1571 - 1638) was the founder of a large publishing firm that became famous in the field of cartography under the name Blaeu.
