Antique Map of the Pacific by La Perouse (c.1780)

Description: Antique map titled 'Carte des déclinaisons et inclinaisond de l'Aiguille Aimantées redigée d'apres la table des observations magnétiques faites par les voyageurs depuis l'annee 1775'. Map No.7 which was probably part of an 8 sheet map most likely compiled from from the reports of La Perouse's last voyage in the Pacific. This map depicts part of Peru, Chili and several islands. 

Artists and Engravers: Jean Francois de Galaup, Comte de la Perouse (1741 - 1788), a French navy officer.
