It focuses on the region of Friesland, Groningen. The title cartouche mythological figures depicting abundance, justice and rural life. From: 'Descriptio, secundum antiquos, agri Batavi et Frisii (…)', published in Amsterdam by H. Wetstein in 1697-1701. This was the first historic description of the Netherlands.
