Antique Map of India by Ruscelli (c.1574)

Description: Antique map India titled 'Calecut Nuova Tavola'. Second edition of Ruscelli's modern map of India, one of the earliest obtainable modern maps of the region. The map extends from west of the Gujarat peninsula eastward to Bengal and south as far as northern Ceylon (Ceilam). Published in Ruscelli's 'La Geographi di Claudio Tolomeo'.
