Description: Antique map titled 'Bresil'. Rare miniature map of Brazil, extending from the Amazon to La Plata and westward to the Madera River. One of the earliest maps to focus on Brazil. Originates from an early edition of of Du Val's 'Le Monde Terrestre'.

Artists and Engravers: Pierre Duval (1618-1683) was a French geographer, cartographer, and publisher who worked in Abbeville and Paris during the 17th century.
