Old Map of Cardiganshire by Samuel Lewis 1844 – Aberystwyth Cardigan Tregaron Lampeter
This antique 1844 map of Cardiganshire was drawn and engraved for Samuel Lewis’ Topographical Dictionary of Wales. It shows key towns such as Aberystwyth, Cardigan, Tregaron, Lampeter, and Aberaeron. The landscape is illustrated with fine topographical shading, rivers, and coastal contours along Cardigan Bay. County borders are hand-colored and the map includes a decorative compass rose and a reference to the seven administrative unions.
