Description: Antique map titled 'Bocche del Fivme Negro et Isole di Capo Verde'. Beautiful double-page map of the Cape Verde Islands and part of the coast of Senegal, with large decorative cartouche. One with inset of the island Goree. This map originates from Coronelli's rare atlas 'Atlante Veneto'.
Artists and Engravers: Vincenzo Coronelli (1650-1718), a Franciscan friar, cosmographer, cartographer, publisher, and encyclopedist known in particular for his atlases and globes. He spent most of his life in Venice.
