Antique print titled 'Jeune Fille de l'Ile Madisson'. Hand colored woodcut of Piteenee, a young woman of Nuku Hiva, Marquesas Islands (French Polynesia). She wears a white gown, cowrie necklace, feather headdress, and has tattooed limbs. 18-year-old granddaughter of Taiohae chief Gattanewa and Captain David Porter’s girlfriend.
