In 1810, Jean-Baptiste-Jules Bernadotte, a celebrated marshal of France under Napoleon, was elected crown prince of Sweden. This print originates from a series depicting General Officers engaged in the Napoleonic Wars. Published by Richard Evans, 1815-1816.
