About this sheet

Antique print titled 'Van Malcote'. Coats of arms / family crest of the Van Malcote family. This print originates from 'Complement au nobiliaire des Pays-Bas et du comte de Bourgogne' by Baron J.S.F.J.L. De Herckenrode.

Charles van Malcote was a son of Julien van Malcote and Virginie Lateur. He became mayor of Zulte and wrote several historical works. In 1861 he received recognition and, as much as necessary, elevation in the Belgian nobility. In 1891 he received permission to add the Kessel family name. He married Prudence du Pont (1834-1893) in Zaffelare in 1855 and they had two sons.

Artists and Engravers: Published by F. en E. Gyselynck.
