“The Battle near Maubeuge, the English routed.
The great victory reported on the morning of 28 August over the French Northern Army in conjunction with Belgian troops, as well as the simultaneous victory of the army of General von Kluck over the English army southwest of Maubeuge, is magnificently completed by the report received during the course of 28 August that the English army has once again been completely defeated, namely north of Saint-Quentin.
12,000 English soldiers were taken prisoner.”

Printed on thin paper as issued. Light overall age toning consistent with paper type. Minor edge wear and small handling marks at the margins. No major tears, losses, or repairs observed. Overall well preserved for a wartime illustrated print on fragile paper stock. Folding line as issued.
