Giocondo Albertolli, (1743-1839), was an architect, sculptor, decorator and painter of Swiss origin who was active at the end of the eighteenth and early nineteenth century. Albertolli has worked extensively on the decoration of palaces, churches and public buildings in Italy, where he gave a new impetus to the art of ornamental design.
