Antique print titled 'Inwoonders van 't Eiland Amsterdam'. Print of the inhabitants of Amsterdam island, also known as Île Amsterdam, New Amsterdam, or Nouvelle Amsterdam. This print originates from a Dutch edition of Prévost's 'Histoire générale des Voyages'.
Artists and Engravers: Engraved by J. van Schley. Jakob van der Schley (Amsterdam, 1715-1779) was a Dutch draughtsman and engraver, who studied under Bernard Picart, and whose style he subsequently copied.
