Antique print titled 'Garrick in the Character of Richard the Third'. Old print of David Garrick in the role of Richard III, made after a painting by William Hogarth. Hogarth represents his close friend, the actor David Garrick, as Richard III waking from a vision of the ghosts of those he murdered to attain the throne. This print originates from 'The Works of William Hogarth in a Series of Engravings: with descriptions and a Comment on Their Moral Tendency by the Rev. John Trusler'.
