Description: Antique print titled 'Torre della Citta di Torbia nella Contea di Nizza'. Original antique print of the Tropaeum Alpium, a Roman trophy (tropaeum) celebrating the emperor Augustus's decisive victory over the tribes who populated the Alps. The monument's ruins are in La Turbie (France), a few kilometers from the Principality of Monaco. This print originates from 'Lo stato presente di tutti i paesi e popoli del mondo naturale (..)' by Thomas Salmon, 1751.
