The images are botanical illustrations from "Les Plantes à Feuillage Coloré Tome Second," published in Paris in 1880 with J. Rothschild as the editor.
1. The first image depicts a plant labeled as "Smilax macrophylla XXXI." It features elongated leaves with pointed tips, displaying a striking variegation of green and creamy white, alongside delicate tendrils curling gracefully at the edges.
2. The second illustration showcases "Alternanthera sessilis, var. amoena XXXIII," a plant characterized by its vibrant foliage. The leaves have an array of colors, including shades of green, red, pink, and creamy yellow, arranged in a compact, bushy formation.
