Description: Antique print titled 'Delphi'. View of Delphi, both an archaeological site and a modern town in Greece on the south-western spur of Mount Parnassus in the valley of Phocis. This print originates from 'Meyer's Universum'. 

Artists and Engravers: Carl Joseph Meyer was a German entrepreneur and publisher. He was very succesful with his publishing firm 'Bibliographisches Institut', which he started in his hometown Gotha in 1826. He published bibles, literature and geographis atlasses. He was very succes with 'Meyers Universum', a picture atlas of the world with steel engravings, published between 1833 and 1861 in 17 volumes and 12 languages. He also started the famous 'Meyers Konversations-Lexikon'.
