Description: Antique print, titled: 'Tab. 114. Cochleae petrificatae.' - This plate shows bivalve mollusc shells. From: 'Neues Systematisches Conchylien Cabinet' by Friedrich Heinrich Martini and Johann Hieronymus Chemnitz, published in Nürnberg, 1786 (part 9 ). The work for 'Neues Systematisches Conchylien Cabinet' was started by Friedrich Heinrich Martini (first 3 parts) and was continued by Johann Hieronymus Chemnitz who, between 1779 and 1795, added a further eight volumes.The prints were engraved by V. Bischoff, J.C. Bock, C.B. Glassbach, L.S. Leutner, J. Nussbiegel and V. Vogel.
