Description: Antique print titled 'De Slagh by Turnhout in den Jaere MDXCVII'. Antique print of the Battle of Turnhout. It shows the Spanish forces locked in battle with the soldiers of the United Dutch Provinces and England, near Turnhout. A large number of soldiers is depicted, partly mounted and armored, armed with pikes and muskets. This print originates from 'Hugo de Groots Nederlandtsche jaerboeken en historien (..)'.
