Description: Antique print of two adults and four children. The children are being taught writing the Singalese / Ceylon - Sri Lanka language by drawing characters in the sand, but some scrolls of paper (?) are also visible in the scene. This print originates from 'Naauwkeurige beschryvinge van Malabar en Choromandel, der zelver aangrenzende ryken, en het machtige eyland Ceylon (..)' by P. Baldaeus.
