Description: Antique map South Europe titled ‘Nieuwe kaart van de Verspreiding der Volkeren'. This is an original antique map of the Mediterranean Area, Europe and Africa, engraved by J. v. Jagen, published by Isaak Tirion and Jacobus Loveringh. This (outline) hand coloured map (later date) shows the habitations of the Descendants of Noach.

Artists and Engravers: Jan van Jagen (1709-1800) was a famous Dutch engraver and cartographer, often employed in Amsterdam. Van Jagen worked alone or together with other engravers/artists and produced multiple maps of the Netherlands, France, Palestine and other countries.
